Corruption Level 1

During level 1, Jake will experience difficulty focusing, anxiety, mild insomnia, and a slightly shorter temper. It will seem mostly like he's just stressed, and he likely will not notice it due to general background levels of stress. He will be very tempted to use magic and may start to succumb to his temptations. Physical appearance includes bloodshot eyes, and a general, tired, haggard appearance.

Corruption Level 2

During level 2, Jake will experience everything from level 1 plus a much shorter temper, becoming far more resentful and stubborn than he usually is. He is much more prone to violence, and may get into a physical fight. He will argue about everything and be highly pedantic. He will start to freely use magic at this point. His emotions will be greatly heightened. Physical appearance will deteriorate further, if he gets into a fight his wounds will not heal quickly (bruises, nosebleeds, etc. will stick around) and his skin takes on a grayish pallor.

Corruption Level 3

During level 3, Jake will experience everything from levels 1-2. He will also be incredibly prone to violence and rage, and be absolutely insufferable. He'll experience paranoia, be wildly impulsive, and not care about his own safety or that of others. He will use magic freely and not care if it's dangerous magic or not. Physical appearance will deteriorate even further. His eyes will take on a purple hue, his teeth will be fanged, he'll have claws, and he will seem mildly impervious to pain. Beasthood is nigh.

Corruption Level 4

It is possible to jump right from level 3 to beasthood. During level 4, Jake will experience everything from levels 1-3, and be either fully enraged or terrified at all times. He will be difficult to communicate with, and he will attack anyone on sight out of sheer anger or fear. He will suffer from hallucinations, and assume that anyone he sees is a figure from his past, or a monster, and try to attack them. He will use physical and magical attacks. It will be almost impossible to reason with him in this stage. Physical appearance is wrecked, he will have beast-like features like claws and fangs, wild purple eyes, wounds that don't heal, bleeding from the nose and mouth, and will seem to feed off the fear of those around him.

Beasthood

There will be two general usual forms for beasthood that Jake gets, depending on the circumstances of his corruption. The first one is a massive lion with glowing eyes that is the embodiment of his lack of trust in people. It will try and destroy anyone that it sees, but prefers hiding away from people in isolated locations, with lots of vegetation, like a forest. This beast is possible to return to human form if someone convinces it that it can trust them.
The second form of beasthood is a giant, snake-like creature, that fiercely protects art, literature, and architecture. It will attack anyone that it perceives not appreciating art, and to be allowed near it, you'd have to prove that you understand and appreciate what its protecting. It may also go around stealing shiny or pretty things to add to its collection. This beast is very unlikely and extremely difficult to return to human form.
